Vocational classes for veterans which were postponed indefinitely because of the need to refer local appropriations to Washington for the approval of the Secretary of Interior, are expected to start on Monday, February 27.
Money from the Laurance Rockefeller Fund for Vocational Education will be used to finance the classes until the Secretary of Interior approves the allotment of funds for the Department of Education.
It was said to be imperative that classes for the veterans start during February to insure that many of them do not lose their educational benefits. Gov. Gordon, who expressed concern over that possibility, gave the Education Department the go-ahead sign to use the Rockefeller grant.
