SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 1835.

The Doylestown, Pa. Democrat says: "The village of Newhope was, we understand, quite in a ferment on Wednesday night, the 19th inst. owing to the contemplated marriage of a black man with a white woman. The woman has, heretofore borne a good character, but the black was an impudent rascal. The people in this part of the world are not yet prepared to witness such degrading spectacles, and if the parties had not moved off in quick time, we believe the statutes of Judge Lynch would have been put in requisition."
