J. H. TIMBERLAKE, who was nominated for congress on the Democratic ticket from the Steubenville, Ohio, district, not only withdraws from the ticket but bolts the Democratic party. He said "The paramount issue is the curtailment of the privileges and immunities of the trusts, and nothing is to be hoped for from Mr. Parker and his backers on that question. The Republican party seems to have settled convictions on matters of public policy, but the Democratic party seems to have none." Mr. Timberlake appears to have sized up the situation about right.
