Court of Common Pleas.

This Court adjourned on Saturday last, having progressed with their business quite slowly. In nine liquor cases, seven were continued and the defendants in two were discharged.

State vs. Adam Beck, for unlawful assault and battery. Fine $100 and imprisonment ten days.

The Grand Jury were in session two days and found several indictments. The number would doubtless have been increased had the Jury been given more time, but the Court requiring the Prosecutor to attend to the Beck case, the Jury were discharged before they had examined witnesses with reference to several important matters.
