William Kerr's was the first name called. He was found last Saturday night about ten o'clock corner of Fourth and John streets, chock full-that is Kerr-ful-and sound asleep. He was fined $1 and costs. Paid.
George Perry was in company with Kerr and just as full and just as sleepy. He was fined $1 and costs. Which he paid it.
J. W. Turner, an ancient, clerical looking buffer, was taking a delightful nooze in the Second Ward Market house on Sunday afternoon. He had filled his skin with whisky, his mouth with tobacco and a market stall with his body. He was fined $1 and costs and in default went up for five days.
Phillip Hoffman was found on Saturday evening last spread out on the pavement in front of List, Morrison & Co.'s, as comfortably and delightfully drunk as if the thermometer hadn't been dancing around 100 degrees all day. Fined $1 and costs. Paid.
