Found Innocent Of Charge When Proved He Was Intoxicated
Paul Colquitt, 30 of 665 Brady, was found not guilty by Recorder's Judge Arthur E. Gordon Wednesday on a charge of attempted breaking and entering.
Colquitt was accused by Frank Reddick, 38, of 940 Brady, who said Colquitt had struck his head in the Reddick window on the evening of Feb. 1. Reddick smacked Colquitt on the forehead with a hatchet, and Detective Earl Moore and Alfred Perry, of Hunt Station, traced the blood to Colquitt's home.
Attorney Samuel Welee argued that Colquitt was drunk and produced hospital records to support his contention.
