LOCOFOCO TRACTS SUPPRESSED.

Some weeks since Mr. Van Buren's organ in New York city, the Plebian, issued two fierce tracts against Protection, in favor of Free Trade, and favoring Direct Taxation. Now these were the very things which the Whigs needed to stir up the people to see the true character of locofocoism; and therefore they bought all they could lay their hands upon and circulated them, particularly in Connecticut. The game was soon up: for locos found that this would not do, and so the Tracts were suppressed as quickly as possible.
