Full Text

The Phenix.

We see from a late number of this paper, that the editor has hoisted the name of Franklin Smith, for Attorney General.

Frank Smith may be the choice of the Phenix, but very certainly not of DeSoto County, nor of the State, for both voted against him by a most decided majority. Does the Phenix mean to dictate to the Democratic party, by thus thrusting forward a man who has been repudiated by the convention? Or does he mean to support those only, who do not interfere with his peculiar friends?
