Planning Head To Speak At Hungry Club

Phillip Hamner, Director of the Metropolitan Planning Council will be the Hungry Club Speaker on Wednesday December 13, it was announced by Dr. Mozell Hill today.

Mr. Hamner will discuss the "Atlanta Re-Development Program" which he has helped plan.

At a meeting of the State Legislature a few months ago, Mr. Hammer was commissioned by this Body to draw up plans affecting the slum clearance program for Atlanta as well as the possibilities of doing away with overlapping and duplication in the Fulton County and Atlanta Governments.

This subject that Mr. Hammer will discuss should be of vital interest to all Negroes because much of this plan affects the present residential areas of Atlanta. Already invitations are being sent to the Negro Voters League and other Civic organizations to promote a good attendance for this very vital discussion. Reservations may be made by calling the Butler Street YMCA at 0246 through Tuesday at 10:30 A.M.
