GIVES HER WORK BOTH
COLOR AND ATMOSPHERE.

Many expressions of praise are
heard regarding Miss Meressa Thompson
of Chicago, who will present the
monologue of "Rebecca of Sunnybrook
Farm," at the high school auditorium
on Friday evening, for the benefit of
the Athletic association.

Rev. A. T. Armstrong of Chicago
makes this comment: "Meressa
Thompson is dignified without being
affected. She holds and sustains the
interest to the climax, giving her work
both color and atmosphere. She has
a
fine appreciation of character and
interprets well. Her sincerity and
depth of feeling seem to say that she
herself has lived and suffered. Miss
Thompson's "Rebecca" is a story - it
will interest a child; it is a character
study - it will interest a philosopher;
it is a dramatic production - it will in-
terest an artist; it is an impersonation
- it will interest every one."
