Meet With Council
Members of the City Council of Hot Springs met in regular meeting Tuesday night. A delegation of people from Spring Street and several others met with the council to discuss the proposed road improvement project.

The first part of the meeting was taken up in the road discussion, with Engineer R. J. Hale outlining the costs of the project, desired width of paving, curbing and other allied matters. Mr Hale in connection with paving all streets in district full width, told the council and the visiting taxpayers, that the streets could be paved from curb to curb at no additional cost over the estimate turned in at the beginning at $29,700.

The Springs people who were present upon learning that full width paving could be done at the same cost all signified that that was agreeable to them. Members of the Spring Street group who were present at the meeting were: Mrs S. Prongua. Mrs Marguerite Ford. H. E. Smith. H. H. Shield, L. G. Herman, J. P. Crowley, Charles Willis, Louis Leaureguard. and Al. Cyr.
Other City Business

The City Council also approved all bills for August and ordered the clerk, Mrs Nell Hood to draw warrants for the same.. Also a petition from interested parties who live near the city park zone in the Maillett addition was read. The petition asked that the council prohibit any clearing of this area for any thing other than for a city park. This matter was taken under advisement, until council members had time to go into the problem more fully.

Mr Smith of the Hall-Perry Machinery Company of Butte also met with the council in the interests of selling the city a used motor patrol for grading the streets and for keeping the streets clear of snow. This matter was also tabled pending more complete knowledge of the machine, cost etc.
