CHARLESTON, NOV. 8.

Yesterday, Robert Hazlehurst, esq. as one of the committee appointed to superintend the building of a National Branch Bank in this city, laid the corner stone of the same, in the presence of the president, and directors of the Bank, and a number of other citizens. From the plan of the intended building, and the known abilities and skill of Messrs. M'Grath and Nicholson, the architects, and Mr. Andrew Gordon the builder, we venture to assure the public, that the Bank, when completed, cannot fail to prove one of the chief ornaments of Charleston.
