SOUTHERN REFORMER.--We have received the first number of the Southern Reformer, published at Jackson, by our old friend and fellow laborer in the vineyard of democracy, W. M. Smyth, Esq. This specimen number is a splendid sheet, printed on elegant paper, in beautiful type, and filled with useful and interesting matter. The Reformer advocates Calhoun for President, Rorer for Senator, and democratic men and measures generally. We wish Mr. Smyth every success in his undertaking, and cordially recommend his paper to the patronage of our friends.
