Earns New Honors

Miss Dorothy I. Height, noted civic and social worker, recently was appointed a member among a group of 48 outstanding women of the newly created defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services. This committee was named by Gen. George C. Marshall, secretary of defense.

It will serve as an advisory body to Mrs. Anna H. Rosenberg, assistant secretary of defense in charge of manpower affairs.

Miss Height is nationally known as president of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, a member of the training services staff of the Young Women's Christian association, and vice president of the American Council on Human Rights.

She will serve on the advisory body for one year.-(ANP)
