2 FORGERY CASES SET FOR TODAY

Forgery cases against two negroes, Hit North and Robert Fulton, are set for trial today in the superior court before Judge W. A. O'Connor and a jury, but which one will actually come to trial will not be known until court convenes.

County Attorney E. R. Thurman stated yesterday he is ready to prosecute either case. Both defendants are charged with forging checks.

Fifty jurymen, excused a month ago, have been summoned to appear for service this morning and from this number twelve will be selected to try the first case set.

In addition to these two criminal cases several important civil suits are on the docket for trial but they will have to wait until the two forgery cases are disposed of.

Attorney Charles L. Hardy has been appointed by the court to defend both negroes.
