SLEEPING CAR PORTERS SUE PULL-MAN COMPANY

St. Louis.-A score of Pullman porters have filed civil suits in the circuit court against that company because they were dismissed for refusing to vote in the company "union" and refusing to sign a "yellow dog."

H. E. Fields, one of the porters, testified he has been in the company's employ for 15 years and was censured by officials and later dismissed for opposition to the company "union" and for associating with officials of the organized porters, affiliated to the A. F. of L.

Fields testified he was told if he voted for the company "union" his job would be immediately restored.
