Full Text

To-morrow night the following question is to be debated at the Queen's Arms in Newgate-street, "If happiness is in our power, in what sort of life is it most easily acquired?"

The question, "Whether inoculation was not presumptuous?" debated last Friday night, was determined by the majority in the negative. The question, "What is the difference between wisdom and knowledge?" was thus resolved: Knowledge is the clear perception and retention of ideas convey'd to the mind by experience and observation: Wisdom consists in the knowledge and practice of whatever is lawful and useful, either in a moral or political view; in other words, wisdom consists in knowing and fulfilling our duty to God, our neighbours, and ourselves.
