ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 1.-The Bryanites at the National Populist Convention, in session here, have been rebuffed in their efforts to secure a postponement of the nomination of the party candidate for the Presidency.

The indications are that the convention will nominate Tom Watson.

Thomas E. Watson of Georgia was the People's party candidate for the Presidency in 1904, receiving 117,183 votes, less than one-half the vote polled by the Prohibition candidate and about one-quarter those polled by Debs, the Socialist nominee.
