The End of A Perfect Day
This is what Lieut. Russel L. Vaughn army airman requires to consummate his proposed coast to coast one day flight. He has no fear that he and his machine cannot safely make the venture except for weather conditions which must be ideal, particularly over the Rocky Mountains. Several expected dates were cancelled and just any time now we may hear of his 'hop off' and let us hope his safe descent within the allotted time.
LATER Safe but too soon was the landing made at St. Joseph, Mo., on Monday due to broken gear. Lieut. Vaughn has returned to New York and will try again soon.
