Full Text
Miami's own Gospel Blind Boy, Joe Walker, has shifted his radio programs to radio station WMBM.
Walker was a big favorite on WFEC and was largely responsible for the success of the station.
Walker's main reason for leaving WFEC is because of the many opportunities offered by the extensive Rounsaville organization.
Joe wasn't fired, it was a case of his realizing his opportunities and readily taking advantage of it.
Beginning June 15 Walker will be heard on the 800 spot on the dial with his "Old Ship of Zion" from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and his afternoon program from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The management of WMBM definitely took a step in the right direction when they added Joe Walker to their staff. WMBM's gain is certain to be WFEC's loss.
We wish for Joe the best of luck on his new job.
