LOCATED IN ATLANTA

MR. T. J. FLOURNOY PRESIDENT OF A LARGE CONCERN.

He Has Lived in Paducah 35 Years and Now Goes South to Enter Business There.

Mr. Thomas J. Flournoy, the well known capitalist, has left Paducah after a residence here of thirty-five years. He has located in Atlanta, Ga. to assume the presidency of the South Atlantic States Portland Cement company, to which position he was recently elected.

Mr. Flournoy is a modest man, and neglected to tell many of his friends here of the change until today, when he arrived on a brief business trip.

Mr. Flournoy has been connected with the concern for the past year or two, and had for quite a while been urged to come to Atlanta and assume the active management of it, the directors appreciating his exceptional business ability.

He was a short time ago elected president, and consented to locate in Atlanta, which he did February 15th since which date he has been in charge of the enormous plant of the concern.

Mr. Flournoy says that he will always have a warm spot in his heart for Kentucky and Paducah, and that while his home will be in Atlanta, and his business will keep him there most of the time, he will come to Paducah as often as he can, to see his friends. He also has extensive business interests here, which will claim some of his attention.

Mr. Flournoy's success in the business world has been great. For several years he was secretary of the Street Railway company, and has helped build up many of Paducah's most important enterprises. He has prospered steadily and is considered one of the wealthiest men in Southwest Kentucky.
