All But Six Precincts Now Have Reported Totals
With general election returns in from all but six small precincts in the First Division, Democratic candidates for the House, the only contest, have an extremely wide margin over the four Republicans.
Leading the Democrats is Andy Gundersen with a total of 1,518 and other Democrats are running in the following order: R. E. Hardcastle 1,478; Crystal Snow Jenne 1,352; and James V. Davis 1,306.
Republican candidates all are below the 1,000 mark, Ralph Bartholomew, the highest, has 723 votes.
Alaska Delegate Anthony J. Dimond has rolled up a total of 2,061 in the light balloting. Treasurer Oscar G. Olson has 1,915. Walter P. Sharpe has 1,948 for Commissioner of Labor and Arthur P. Walker has 1,615 for Senator.
All are Democrats.
Michael J. Haas, incumbent Commissioner of Labor, has had his name written in on 25 ballots for that post.
