Cork, July 21. Extract of a Letter from Mr. Lukey, Master of his Majesty's Ship Tartar, to his Father now in this City.

"I take this Opportunity amongst other Things, to give you some Particulars of our success, in the suppressing an inveterate Enemy, by taking the following Prizes within the Course of eight Months, viz.

Guns. Men. Kill.

A Snow Rochelle for Quebeck with 10,000 Arms, and a Ship from Martinico for Bordeaux, valued at 35,000 l. We are a Ship of 26 Guns, and 160 Men, and we have had the good Fortune to take 148 Guns, 1535 Men, of which 180 were killed outright, with the Loss of only four Men to ourselves. My Share of Prize Money amounts to about 9000 l."
