Full Text

The Republican trend, which the nation has awaited for such a long time, is definitely on its way. This is one of the best proofs that Democracy is not dead in this country.

That the trend is a very emphatic one, aimed principally at clearing the Democratic party of its radical and communistic elements, is shown in the fact that this is the first time in many years that people are voting for a change when stomachs and purses are full.

When citizens all over the country come out to vote like they came out in Garrett county on Tuesday, there is hope of continued Democracy. It is a heartening sign. But we've got to keep plugging.
