We hear that at Day-break on Tuesday the 7th Instant, the Dwelling House of one Roger Blameless, at Pecanaink, burnt to the Ground by the Enemy Indians: That they killed Blameless's Son, and it is thought has carried off Prisoner an old Man, and one of his young Children as they are missing, and cannot be heard of: That the Wife and Daughter made their Escape thro' a back Window, and as the Neighbourhood, who quickly assembled and went to the House, where they discerned the Bodies of three Persons belonging to the said Family, that were burnt in the House. And that the Party of Inhabitants so assembled, finding the Track of the Indians, pursued it a considerable Way, but at last lost it.
