WOOLEY IS CONFIDENT.

Expects to Receive a Big Vote For the Presidency In November.

Akron, O., Aug. 10.-Hon. John G. Wooley, the Prohibition candidate for president, addressed an audience in Assembly hall, this city, Thursday night. His address was confined to a discussion of the one subject of prohi- bition by means of a political party, and presented no new phases.

To a reporter Mr. Woolley said he fully expected to receive more votes than any other candidate of hid party had ever got. Four years ago, he ex- plained, the money issue cost them hundreds of thousands of votles, but this year he expected to get them all back. He refused to talk about either of the old parties or their candidates.

When asked about his views on expan- sion or "imperialism," he replied:

"The expansion of the liquor traffic in the Philippine islands is damnable, but beyond that I have no criticism of the present national administra- tion."
