The principal speaker on Columbia Day will be W. L. Nelson, editor of the "Missouri Ruralist" and the "Missouri Homestead." He will speak at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon.

The poultry show will be held at 2:30 o'clock following the address by Mr. Nelson. Mrs. E. T. Wilks is in charge of the poultry exhibit.

The program for the second day which has been designated as Homecoming Day will open at 10 o'clock with the home garden exhibit under the management of A. V. Ferguson and A. Barnes. At 1:30 o'clock a general exhibit of handicraft, painting and school work from any school in Boone County will be shown. C. E. Northcutt, county superintendent of schools, has charge of this part of the entertainment.

The principal address on this day will be delivered by Prof. E. L. Morgan, head of the department of rural sociology in the Missouri College of Agriculture.

One of the main attractions at the fair will be the live stock show which will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Special prizes are offered to winners in some classes of competition in the live-stock exhibit. J. M. Clay and Turner Hayden are in charge of this department.

The field crops show will be held at 3:30 followed by a baseball game which will be the final event of the two-day program. Athletics will be an important part of the program throughout the fair. Included in this are: the fat man's race, foot races for both men and women and for boys and girls under sixteen years old, and a tug of war between ten farmers against ten town men. Clyde Barnes has charge of the athletic side of the entertainment.

Entries or exhibits for competition in the various shows and displays are free and open to all sections of the county. All entries must be presented before 10 o'clock on the morning of September 8. Until awards are made marks of any kind or any other indication of ownership will not be allowed. All exhibits except live-stock exhibits must remain in charge of fair committee until 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Entries are accepted with the understanding that the fair committee will not be in any manner responsible for accidents to live stock or persons which might occur.

The fair committee is composed of nine members of the Huntsdale Community Club with Prof. Gyp Moore as chairman.

There is also a committee on arrangements composed of eight members of the club. Owen Howells of the department of rural life in the College of Agriculture is the adviser.

The fair is given by the Huntsdale Community Club in co-operation with the department of rural life of the College of Agriculture for the purpose of stimulating interest in better agriculture, live-stock production and in the social life of the community.

The fair will be held on the streets of Huntsdale, in the Community Hall there and in a large tent loaned by the Extension Service of the University. The fair has been established with the idea of making it a permanent affair.
