The delegates, alternates, and others will attend the show at the high school auditorium, South Street at Market Street Plaza, at 8 p.m. on Friday, and also the firemen's ball at the Allan McLane Armory, East Commerce Street, at 10 p.m. Music for dancing will be by The Starlighters.
The agenda for Saturday includes registration of delegates and alternates in the foyer of Smyrna High School at 9 a.m. The convention will be called to order in the high school auditorium at 10 a.m., by Mrs. Marie Gregg Saunders, Newark, president of the association. An address of welcome will be given by Mayor George M. Blendt. Mrs. Ruth Leager is president of the local ladies auxiliary, and she will be assisted by Mrs. George B. David and members of the group.
Luncheon will be served in the cafeteria of the high school, and sessions will resume at 1 p.m. in the auditorium. The meeting will adjourn in time for the auxiliary members to join the firemen in the parade which is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. All events are on daylight saving time.
