Full Text

The Advice we had by Thursday's Papers, that Letters of Marque would be granted to the London and Bristol Merchants, to make Reprisals on the Spaniards for their long Run of Depredations on their Ships, has given a pleasing Satisfaction, and what is very much wished for; and as our Galleys were famous in the late War for Prime Sailors and Bravery of the Men, in taking so many Prizes, 'tis believed Jack Spaniard will not find that Spirit abated by the long Interval of Inaction, our Sailors in general longing heartily to exchange a few Broad Sides.
