The Merchants and traders of the city of Philadelphia, have presented a memorial to the General Assembly of the State of Pennsylvania, setting forth the inconvenience now experienced from the unequal footing the United States are on with respect to Trade with other nations -- and at the same time praying them to request Congress to recommend it to the several States, to vest Congress with power sufficient to regulate the Commerce of the United States with other nations:
Whereupon the General Assembly have complied with their wishes, and at the same time, have informed Congress of the disposition of the State of Pennsylvania to comply with such commercial regulations.
