tion.

Following the enrollment at 8:30
Thursday morning. 10 o'clock will
see the first general session which
will open with a welcome address
by President J. L. Reddix, of Jack-
son College. following which will
come the Presidents annual ad-
dress. According to reliable sourc-
es, the association's President,
Prof. A. A. Alexander, Principal
of Alexander High School in Brook-
haven, with an eye upon the con-
vention theme, will make some real
challenges to the teachers as re-
gards the responsibility of citizen-
ship both in and out of the class
room, an address which some say
may be of historic significance re-
garding the future program of the
organization.

Considerable interest is report-
ed as being manifested in the
"know your Junior College." Pro-
gram at 7 o'clock Thursday night
which list the following Junior Col-
leges as participants, Clarksdale,
Mary Holmes Jr., College, Oko-
lona, Piney Woods Institute, Pren-
tiss Institute. and Southern Christ-
ian Institute.

Dr. Joseph H. Jackson the Na-
tionally and Internationally known
pastor of Olivet Baptist Church,
Chicago, Ilinois, a native Missis-
sippian, and a graduate of Jack-
son College will be the guest speak-
er. He is scheduled to speak at
8 o'clock to the General Session
Friday night.

The final day of the meeting
which is Saturday will be taken
up with Committee meetings, Busi-
ness Sessions and Executive Board
meetings.

At 1:30 Saturday afternoon the
1951 meeting of the Mississippi As-
sociation of Teachers in Colored
Schools will be a matter of his-
tory.
