W. E. Moyer of Des Moines, prominent good roads booster and director of the River-to-River road, has been named chairman of a legislative committee which will work for a continuous macadamized road system in Iowa. The committee was authorized by the State Automobile association in annual convention at Waterloo.
F. J. Fischbanner of Gilmore City, active in the cause of permanent roads in Iowa, introduced the resolution by which the committee is instructed to work for legislation for continuous permanent roads. The convention was unanimous and enthusiastic in favor of working for permanent highways in the state.
Officers of the association were elected as follows: President, G. D. French of Davenport; first vice-president, L. J. Dickinson of Algona; second vice-president, C. N. Wyckoff of Sioux City; secretary-treasurer, H. Leslie Smith of Des Moines.
