Extract of a Letter from London, May 21.

"Mr. Wilkes has been three Times elected Member for the County of Middlesex, but was refused his seat in any House (except the King's Bench.) He was also chosen Alderman for the Ward of Farringdon-Without (the largest in the City) in which I reside: but the Court of Aldermen would not swear him in: so that the Ward being without an Alderman, the Inhabitants refuse to pay the City Taxes, not being properly represented, and the Ward Books not Signed by Mr. Alderman Wilkes."
