Later from Rio Janeiro.

By the brig Isabella, Capt. Druberr, we have news considerably later from Rio Janeiro. Capt. D. states that he took out a very eminent citizen of Rio, named Paula, who was immediately taken by the authorities and tried on charge of having been connected with the rebels in the neighboring provinces, and it was with difficulty that he escaped being executed. The rebels in the provinces of Minas Geraes and St. Paulo have at last become pacified, though not defeated. The cause of their first outbreak was the declaring Don Pedro to be of age and Emperor by those in the city who expected to be themselves benefited; but not succeeding, they raised a rebellion in the provinces. The most of these men have been sent to Lisbon, with some honorable men who were suspected, but have been found innocent since their departure.—The war now has entirely ceased, but the citizens do not feel easy, supposing themselves to be in danger of some fresh movement of the rebels, who are supposed to be secretly active. There has been some difficulty in Bahia, and some fighting in Pernambuco. They have sent troops from Rio Janeiro to quell it. There was a barque sent with troops to St. Paulo from Rio, for the purpose of keeping all in subordination. The times are very dull, as usual, no business whatever being done.
