On Monday the legislature of Pennsylvania proceeded to count the votes given at the late general election for governor, which are as follow:

Thomas M'Kean 43,644

Simon Snyder 38,483

Maj. for gov. M'Kean 5,161

And on Tuesday, agreeably to the constitution, the governor was inaugurated.

His excellency the governor has communicated to both branches of the legislature, a circular letter from the Secretary at War, signifying that an immediate draft of the militia of this State, may be called for by the general government. This, it is supposed, will occupy their immediate attention.
