Event Details
The council of safety at Pennsylvania, in compliance with a resolve of the honourable Continental Congress, are taking the most vigorous and speedy measures for punishing all such as shall refuse Continental currency. The General at Philadelphia, hath been directed by the President of the Congress, to give the council every necessary aid for carrying into effectual execution their measures for supporting the credit of the money issued under the authority of Congress, and for punishing those who shall attempt to destroy or lessen its credit.
