Full Text

Thirty-three years ago George A. Bowlus took the first degree in Masonry. Tuesday he took the last degree, and the lodge celebrated the event by a little supper at Barton's restaurant at the conclusion of the ceremonies. The strange part about it is that during the thirty years of his residence here, Mr. Bowlus never told any of his most intimate friends that he had started on this road, until a few months ago when he suddenly decided that he would like to go the rest of the way. The chances are that this is the first instance or record of so long a period intervening between the beginning and ending of the work of making a Master Mason.

This is likely the first instance of such a long interval between beginning and ending the work of making a Master Mason.
