When State Committee Meets Immediately After Legislature Adjourns.
ALBANY, April 17.-It has been decided definitely by those who have in charge the affairs of the Republican State organization that the Republican State committee will be called to meet immediately after the adjournment of the Legislature on Friday, May 4, the date now practically decided upon.
Then the hopes of the Odellites that the opposition to Odell would not be able to agree upon a State chairman to succeed him will be shown to have been based upon a mere chimera.
It also has been decided to introduce the legislative reapportionment bill in the last week of the session and pass it at once under an emergency message from the Governor after all of the other necessary legislation of the session has been disposed of.
There will be no objection to passing the bill under suspension as the reapportionment bill is a political measure for which the majority is responsible, and it will make no difference whether there is allowed a day or a week's time in which to debate it.
