FISHKILL. November 15.

The British Fleet returned to Sandy-Hook the beginning of last week: On their arrival, transports were sent down to receive the troops from the men of war: both these and the transports remain at the Hook. It is reported that the British fleet were in sight of Count de Grasse. but finding him superior in numbers and position. thought proper to return without risking an action. It is conjectured the British Fleet will go to the West Indies. We learn the Virginia. Maryland and Pennsylvania lines under General St. Clair are to reinforce General Greene; and that the northern troops are ordered to this vicinity. for winter quarters.
