Mr. & Mrs. Percy Gardine, outstanding citizens of St. Croix, are justly proud of the fact that their son Calvin received his B.S. Degree in Psychology from Polytechnic Institute at the Commencement Exercises held this morning starting at 9:30 o'clock.
The youngster who completed his studies last December returned to Polytechnic Wednesday for the colorful ceremonies marking the exercises. He was accompanied by his mother. Having majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology, Calvin intends to continue his studies on the mainland next Fall to work for his Master's Degree.
Mr. & Mrs. Gardine also have two other children studying at Polytechnic, Cedric and Norma.
Cedric is studying Economics, Politics and Government while Norma is majoring in Nursing leading up to a Supervisor Nursing Degree. They will graduate in August of this year.
With three children in the field of higher education this means considerable sacrifice to their parents who however are gratified they're making good, and will be in position to make a contribution to the advancement of the home land.
