Presbyterian Statistics.—From the minutes of the (Old School) General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, just published, we gather the following particulars. In connection with this Assembly there are 1304 ministers, 195 licentiates, 202 candidates for licensure, and 1911 churches. Showing the lamentable fact that if all the ministers and licentiates were settled over churches, there would still be 412 congregations for whom there are no pastors in the bounds of the Church. But a great number of the ministers included in the above statement are without charge, and consequently the number of destitute churches must be far beyond the amount just mentioned.

During the last year there have been added to the communion of the churches on examination 7,624 persons, on certificate 4,484, and there are now in the Church 134,433 members.

To the Board of Domestic missions there have been contributed during the past year, $29,261 33, Foreign Missions, $60,112 63. Education, $22,435 80, Publication, $6,936 60, and for the support of Theological Seminaries, $15,776 59.—N. Y. Observer.
