Full Text

Tax Payers,
Look to your interests, and don't stay away from the polls. You have been made to pay enormous taxes, by the squandering of the public money. Put men in office who are not to be led by the Clique. Give us a new Auditor, a new Treasurer, a new Sheriff, a new Commissioner—in fine, an entire new set of county officials. The Clique have too long controlled your treasury, and squandered your money for political purposes. It is said that a new broom sweeps clean. Let us sweep every one of them out of office, and try new men. We cannot make our condition worse if it is not made better.
