ILD SENDING APPEALS

SEATTLE, Aug. 29—Launching a broad drive in defense of the workers charged with criminal syndicalism in Portland and Kelso the International Labor Defense is sending out appeals to all working class organizations for their aid in smashing these frame-ups.

The International Labor Defense points out that the very existence of militant working class organizations is threatened by these cases and that only working class unity can defend them.

Printed resolutions addressed to Lotus Langley, District Attorney, Portland, Oregon, are being mailed out to all organizations with the request that these be adopted and sent in promptly to the bosses' officials in Portland.

The ILD states that this is only one step and urges that all organizations support the proposals which will be more fully outlined as soon as the Portland indictments are returned.
