The Kent Massacre.--We do not learn that any later developments tend to fix the perpetration of the Kent murders certainly upon any of the parties arrested. We understand there are six persons in prison under suspicion. One, named Garrick Rapp was arrested in Philadelphia, we do not know upon what grounds. Henry D. Webster, who was arrested in Baltimore on last Sunday, was discharged, there being no evidence against him. He was a relative of Mrs. Cosden and of Miss Webster. We understand that the popular opinion is still strong against Shelton and Drummond. Another man named James Fagen was arrested in Queen Anne's county last week and taken to the jail at Chestertown, on suspicion of being connected with the affair. The Centreville Sentinel says: "A gentleman who left Georgetown X Roads on Sunday last, informs us that the impression in that neighborhood is to the effect that a majority, if not all, the persons arrested and now in jail, are believed to have been either directly or indirectly concerned in the murders. but fears are entertained that the evidence, as far as elicited, will prove insufficient to convict them. We feel that the guilty wretches will not long escape --the hand of Providence will point to events that will result in their receiving the punishment which they so richly merit." The black woman who was shot is recovering.
