Stay with St. Paul

Bessie M. Powell, office secretary of the St. Paul Urban League, who offered her resignation last week to accept a position at Tuskegee Institute will remain with the St. Paul Urban League office it was learned Wednesday.

It is reported that the increase in salary she would have received at the Tuskegee post was met by the League here. Though Miss Powell was considering the experience and a greater opportunity to develop in her field as well as salary she decided to stay if her work was valued so highly here and her services so badly needed. She has been with the St. Paul League about three years.
