CHICAGO, Ill., June 17—Three former Seattleites—Jack Nakagawa, Thomas Masuda and Mike Hagiwara—are serving as officers under Tahei Matsunaga in the Midwest council area of the Japanese American Citizens League for the Anti-Discrimination Committee. Nakagawa is vice chairman, Masuda, treasurer, and Hagiwara, auditor.
The group today is launching a one-month campaign to raise a substantial proportion of the $28,000 fund.
Other ex-Queen City Nisei in the committee Kumeo Yoshinari, Wiley Higuchi, Ken Yoshiharu and Rose Kokubu. They are members of the board representing the various districts.
