ON RETURN VOYAGE IS MADE BY HAMILTON
Brilliant Reception.
Colonel Theodore Roosevelt and the members of his family assembled with him in London said farewell to Europe and started on the homeward voyage to America on June 10. They sailed on the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria. A special train carried Mrs. Roosevelt, Kermit, Ethel and Mrs. Longworth from London to Southampton station, where the colonel, who remained overnight with Sir Edward Grey, joined them. At Southampton a special tender chartered by the Hamburg-American line conveyed the party to the Kaiserin, anchored in the Solent. The imperial suite, embracing four large rooms forward on the port side of the promenade deck, is occupied by the colonel and his wife. A three room suite on the same side of this deck is used for Mrs. Longworth and Kermit and Ethel.
All arrangements have been completed for the brilliant reception which is to be given Colonel Roosevelt on his arrival in New York on June 18. Numerous persons from all parts of the country are already assembling here to see the greeting, which will assume the proportions of a spectacle. Six thousand Spanish war veterans will take part in the land parade, which follows the naval parade.
