Deputy U.S. Marshal Syd Thompson returned yesterday from Sitka with three prisoners who will serve out sentences given by U.S. Commissioner Ernest Dennis of Sitka. Robert C. Shannon was given 90 days by a jury at a trial for giving liquor to minors. Elizabeth Johns was sentenced to 150 days for drunkenness and disorderly conduct, and Mollie James was given 90 days in jail for vagrancy. All pleaded guilty to the charges against them.
Joseph Beal, also of Sitka, was fined $25 for theft of meat out of a cold storage locker.
