Butte Girl Commits Suicide In Idaho City

Butte, May 2. (U.P.)-Funeral services were held here Saturday for Bessie Baltezar, pretty 19-year-old Butte girl who shot herself through the head in Idaho Falls, Ida., after being evicted from a hotel for non payment of rent.

A graduate of Butte business college, Miss Baltezar left here in April to find work. Registering at an Idaho Falls hotel as "Betty Smith" April 10, she hunted for work until April 22, when eviction led to the suicide.

Her body lay for five days identified only by the "Betty Smith" she had signed on the register.

A picture sent by her mother here revealed her true name, and the body was returned.

No inquest was held.
