must be fulfilled before that day. There must be union among the disciples, that the world may believe that God hath sent his Son to save sinners.
We ought then to hasten this day by endeavoring to fulfil the words of the Redeemer. Let us use every exertion to effect complete union among all the believers, and to spread the Gospel over the world. The Redeemer will not come the second time till all this are fulfilled which are written in the sacred Scriptures.
How then are those professed Christians hastening the day of God who in slothfulness pretend to be waiting for a day of power in order to the propagation of the Gospel? How many alas! show no more concern for the salvation of their fellow men than by listless wishes.
